About 8 years ago I sat in my dorm room checking my e-mail one night. I was a freshman in college, overwhelmed with a multitude of life circumstances crashing down all around my well-protected, safe and perfect appearing life. I watched a video that arrived in my inbox and cried until there were no tears left.
I came upon the video again this weekend and was flooded with memories of the emotions I felt the first time I saw it. My life is incredibly different now from what it was at the age of 18, my experiences are vastly different, and my response to the video comes from a new perspective. Yet as I watched it I was again overcome with tears.
