Sunshine

It's nice to see the sunshine today, especially since we've got park plans with friends. However, I have to admit I've really been enjoying the rain these last two weeks. It's kept me homebound and productive. Schoolwork with the kids has been a relaxing and enjoyable way to fill our days. Whenever the sun has peeked out for more than a moment we've embraced the opportunity to get outside. The strawberries may be drowning and the chickens may be seriously lacking in Vitamin D, but the lettuce, broccoli and carrots are exploding in the garden. And the sewing machine has been working overtime with all sorts of new things....but more on that later. For now, we better get lunch packed and head outside to enjoy this bit of sunshine while it lasts.
