A dear friend back in Portland who I had the privilege and honor of knowing and loving through working together with Scarlet Cord has just opened up an etsy shop with her mother in law who has recently come to the US from Iraq seeking asylum.

Together they are creating beautiful handmade scarves and doing custom tailoring through this new etsy shop. It is not only something they enjoy but hopefully a sustainable means to supporting their financial needs as a family.

Their family has been through many trials and difficulties in the last few months, but their faith in God, love for one another, and hope for the future are an overwhelming blessing to all those around them.
