A simple little jacket/cover for a notebook. This is the first attempt, so it is a bit crooked and thrown together. I like to add things like buttons and straps after I've already closed up all the seams, it's so much more fun that way. It was my first go at legitimate button holes, so it is a bit tight to get that thick wooden button through.
It definitely serves its purpose though and still looks cute, especially when toted around in matching burlap bag......
My husband thoroughly enjoyed the result of this little experimental project and immediately went on a search for more old burlap bags for me to cut up and piece back together. Which resulted in this nice pile of 40+ burlap coffee sacks which is now residing in my home.
