A bright little skirt

The girls often ask me to make specific skirts as they sift through the fabric pile. Often I say yes without thinking about the probability of the skirt actually materializing. This was one such skirt. I made a little one, complete with built in bloomers at the end of last summer, but never finished the big sister version until I discovered it half started under a pile of other things a few weeks ago.

It was going to be a little short on the ever-growing girl so we added a little ruffle to give it some length and some swirl and of course a little pocket, because no twirly skirt is complete without a pocket.

It fits her body, her sense of style and her personality perfectly. Especially when she wears it out in public over leggings with her red shoes. **Never mind the box on her head**
